I stopped to look at that car the other day. I didn't know the price of it then, but it looks pretty good.
I didn't see it when I went by last night, so it might be gone.

51,000 is sorta high for a 2001 is it not? maybe that's why. if not, that's an awesome price. they called me about mine when it was for sale and they only wanted to give me $12,000 for it.
Be careful guys if someone is considering buying this R. If anyone remembers from our most recent Quaker Steak and Lube event, there was a lot of talk about a guy in Columbus who totalled his Yellow R...and no one knew who the person was. $14, 900, high mileage or not, that is one low, low price. I would inquire in detail with Lindsay about the truth.
I had a 97 GTI VR6 once, and a local dealer dropped it off of the service lift changing oil at 5k miles, totalled the car, repaired it, and resold it several times before someone realized it was my car. It too, was sold at an unusually low price.
There are guys on this board familiar with that incident who can attest to it.
"They always look nice when repaired, but drive like **** if previously wrecked"

aren't dealers legally responsible to disclose that information to the buyer even if they don't ask? i know i purchased a wrecked car from an individual and when i tried to sue him, i didn't get far. but, had i bought it from a dealer i would've had a ton of rights.

I think that car was pretty much beyond repair as it flipped multiple times, but who knows...
Yes, dealers are legally responsible, but in the "off" chance they don't, as a buyer, you hold the cards to a viable lawsuit if necessary. There are a lot of potential R buyers who will jump at a chance to buy one for only 14,900. But, the dealers forget about R owners who already exist and should immediately question the price, regardless of mileage. For an 01, which is what I have, that is a dangerously low price. Something just isn't right.
That car has a dead engine!!!!! The guy ran it out of oil. The bearings are bad and it has severe sings of wear. So pretty much the engine is toast. But the rest of the car is in fairly good condition.
