If you do decide to get that civic, here are some good parts to start off with that an HT member is selling:

Go with the AEM cold-air intake. Then of course cat-back exhaust. You'll notice the difference without spending a whole shitload of money. Good luck.

The D16Y8 is a good engine, although it is OBD2...start modifying parts further away from the engine first. Example: Intake, exhaust, header, throttle body, headwork, cam, etc.

First thing you should actually do is routine maintainence to get it at optimum running order. Replace plugs, wires, cap&rotor, timing belt, water pump etc.

Check out Spade's post on "SOHC upgrades"...your engine has a lot of potential, and I suggest to stick with it. Skunk 2 has a new cam out for it, along with ZEX. Search sites and research your prodoct first. Not too many people on here have enough ***** to build a single screamer, but it can be just as fast if not faster than a swap for same amount of money. Keep that in mind.
