it is a ZC (1.6l). the valve cover on the LS is slightly longer and the LS is a 1.8l

This is the ZC engine
This is the LS 90-93, notice the difference on the valve cover just bfore the cams? You can tell them apart by this.

ZC
D16A1, notice the difference in the valve cover bolts and the placement of the Honda symbol

it's a d series motor a b series ls motor or acura non-vtec motor valve cover bolt and stud nearest to the cam gears (timing belt ) are located in different spots. the B-series motor is like the rest of them u can see the stud it's in the middle of the valve cover at the end the zc i believe has two and they are at the end right next to the timing belt

plus a zc motor is stamped zc on the block the older acura is stamped different
thats the real way to identify it

so that motor IS a zc and NOT a d16a1 or b18?

anyways, here is the link to the car on ebay that I might bid on

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6256

should I bid on it, or should I wait for something else? I was going to get ef si seats or del sol seats... I don't care about the paint, and I will rip the scoop off the hood, or get another hood.

The car already has a zc in it for 1300(current bid), thats a decent price and I am near there so I can pickup easily.

if its a pre 90 teg w/o a swap its a d16a1
zc's are jdm and edm only ther were never in any car we had here

pre 90 teg motors are commonly refered to as zc's even tho they are not technically zcs.

cams, cam gear, stroke are different. not sure about the pistons.
