Default 94 bb1, gauge wiring

Ok so ive looked all over, hope someone can help me here, seems pretty simple, I have a 94 prelude VTEC, im installing 3 autometer gauges, PROBLEM: where can i hook the backlight on the gauges to? I want the gauges that im installing to be able to dim with the rest of the stock gauges using the stock dimmer switch. Seems easy enough, so i bust out the meter and start doing some reading on the dimmer switch, i ave no idea how honda wired it, i have the schematic and it seems liek that they have a variable resister to ground which intern dims the gauges, however, no where on that switch can i find anything close to the 12v needed for the back light on my auto meter gauges. the closes thing i find is 9v and that doesn't even change, surely someone must know how to wire the gauges to use the stock dimmer switch
