Spoon CamSprocket info needed...
Me, 1107, BrewCityR, and Splitime are going to be installing my Spoon camsprockets tonite and I'm a little unsure of one little detail...Hoping you guys can help me out. From all the info I've seen on c-speed and just from seeing other peoples experiences I've noticed that most aftermarket cam gears come with what I believe is called a "woodruff" key or something like that. Well my Spoon gears did not come with any, and to be honest I'm not too sure if this key is indeed required. I'd hate to start attempting the install and then realize that the key is needed. Any info would be appreciated
Reuse the OEM keys.
[e] And YES they are required!

I've got the step-by-step from c-speed, but are there any pointers or tips you can suggest to ensure my cams not to move while doing the install?

Cam gears, no problem. Bring it on, woman!
Now, rubber exhaust hangers for the exhaust... that scares me.
Ever notice that Nate posts HALF of the posts in his threads? Post *****.
IBTL.
Don't forget to bring your helms. Oh, that's right, you don't have one.
Seriously, you got some info to help you tune these gears/vafc at the dyno tommorrow?

Charles is gonna help me out with both so everything should be good. Make sure Dave brings some Hondabond with him tonight. I'm trying to think if there's any other last minute things we need (besides trying to figure out how the hell I'm gonna cut that other valve cover

Ever notice Chris posts in just about every topic so he can hopefully make the "Top 10 Poster" list for the week

CPR - Yes we are. Stock cams, spoon cam gears (the good ones!) and vafc. Any tips?
I've been playing around with the idea of using cam gears on stock cams but I held off on that plan. I'm thinking that since I'm going to get cams eventually, I might as well dyno tune all at once.
Well, I'm going to do what Nate is doing. Stock cams and cam gears. I'm happy with my setup and can't see too many more mods coming along, except the ones that are already planned. I would like to see what these stock cams can do.....
If we get any good increases, you'll see them on here!
Who's got experience with tuning stock cams on here, anyways?

I'm guessing the adjustments to my gears will be minimal...the most I could predict signifigant gains with would be +2 or +4 intake and -1 or -2 exhaust, but well see. Too bad Leo couldn't get my headgasket to me sooner
Just kidding mang, which reminds me, if you read this, will you have it tomorrow?
