Does your friend realize he could kill himself and his passenger, even in a minor collision, with that roll bar? He needs to get some padding around that sucker or remove the section between the seats altogether.

That delly used to be a straight up show car, that's where the cage came from. But now he's starting to steer away from all the blingin'. I think we made a little to much fun of him! But the cage he has is nice, and I don't think it would cause to much of a problem if he ever got into an accident.

 

dude, if your buddy gets hit from the side, his or passenger's head can hit that thing and it would not be a pretty sight. like one of the guys said previously, put some padding on there or take it out. just tell him to be careful.

Yeah, I know exactly what you guys are saying. I told him it was a dumb idea in the first place, and personally, i think it looks kinda ghey. But thats just me. I've told him to be careful w/it though, cause it is kinda dangerous, the way it comes down. The pictures don't really do it justice though. It's not really that close to your head when you're in it. It's not as tight in there as it looks. But I'll definately tell him what you guys are saying, as far as safety.

People would die if you got in a side impact accident period. I've got a six-point cage w/2 side bars. If I got in a side impact accident, it might cut my leg off. Then I'd be stuck w/an automatic the rest of my life. I know what you guys are saying, don't get me wrong here. But he's not looking at the safety issues. He just wanted something that was a little different. I know he talked to someone about safety issues, but I don't know what was said. I'll find out and let you guys know though.
