I bought a CTR exhaust cam off of Steve Chi on thepartstrader.com I sent him the money via paypal on 10/31/02 I have not recieved the cam yet and the last email recieved from him was on 11/14/02 saying that he was going to ship the cam out 11/16/02 at the latest. I think I have been ripped off. After doing some snooping and surfing on the net I have tracked down his phone number and address, this joker lives about 7 hours north of me, would you guys make the drive to knock on his door if you were me. Also what else should i do to resolve this problem? Thanks for any input.

 

Well my humble opinion is he is up to something. It doesn't take that damn long to box it up and ship it. And if you go knocking on doors, take a friend or two with you. Who knows how many friends he has with him, if he is scamming you. If the postal service was involved in mail check or whatever file a complaint with post office. That would make it mail fraud and thats a felony. OOps just reread it it was VIA paypal. file a complaint right away with them. May not help but document everything. And if he shipped FEDX or UPS he CAN provide you with a tracking number. With that you can go to their wedsite and see exactly when it was shipped and exactly where it is going. And exactly where it is. If he gives yo ua run around go to the police and file complaint.

Mill Valley 94941, if some one is willing to knock on his door and try and get either the cam or the money, i am willing to pay a percentage.

 

actually mapquest says it's about 6 hours north.

 

I learned my lesson: don't deal with thepartstrader unless you have money to waste or you are picking up the part.

 

I've bought and sold tons of stuff and this is the 1st time i got ripped off, I'm going to make the drive in like 2 weeks and mr glock 23 and myself are goona get my cam or my money

I'm gonna give it a few days, i'll let you know if you made the 3 hour drive and got the money or the cam i'd kick you down with $50. Anything more than that and I'll just make the drive.

I bought only the exhaust cam because I already had a intake cam, I paid $190 for the exhaust cam.

So you're telling me that my shitty *** 1st gen b16a ehaust cam is the same cam as what is in a ITR or CTR.

 

Did you deal with a Steve Chi from Mill Valley, CA 94941. I sold him a pair of Kosei K-1 with Nitto drag tires C.O.D. UPS on thepartstrader.com. I got my money order from him though. It took UPS three attempt's to delivery the package because he was not home. Let me know if I can help. All I have is his address.

Yeah it was Steve Chi, I have his address, I have also found 2 phone numbers that match that address. I'm guessing it's his parents phone numbers. I filed a complaint with http://www.paypal.com and they are investigating the issue.

 

yes, its only the intake cam thats different.

 

OMG I'm rich, I have about 20 B16a exhaust cams sitting in my garage at $200 a pop that's like $4000


Sorry bro all B series vtec exhaust cams are not the same, who ever told you that misinformed you.

 

oh yeah, the slight difference in lift, lobes blahblahblah. all the same **** to me. if you wanted cams to make power you would have forked up another hundred bucks or so and get real performance cams used. but thats my opinion.

So see they are all not the same... I have to use CTR's because my compression is so high i can't get away with a higher lift cam.

Well I need more than a beat down, I need either my exhaust cam or my $190. I will keep you in mind when all my other options are exhausted.
