Default To all H-T members with custom built turbo kit

So after reading and reading and shopping around, i've decided that i want to make a custom turbo kit for my 99LS. I know that there's a lot more involved than i would think of but i'm building a kit that's not gonna boost all that much, maybe like 6-8 er sumthin, and i'm gonna follow a turbo kit's guidelines as close as i can. The only real problem for me if getting all the piping and hoses right. Getting the big parts like that manifold and turbo are easy but i was wondering what you custom turboed guys did for piping. When i was surfing around i saw a Greddy Universal 50mm Intercooler Piping Kit and was wondering if any used that before and if it would fit my integra. Also if that contains all the piping and hoses i needed.

If you guys have any other ideas or recommendations they're always welcome.

thanks.

i bought drag piping and intercooler so it all fits
the greddy piping doesn't include everything.

heres the list of parts i have... then the other list is stuff i still need to get.

i have this stuff
T3 turbocharger - $330.00
Max rev manifold - $300.00
Oil Feed Flange - $24.00
Apex’I power intake filter - $112.00
Drag Piping & HKS BOV - $450.00
Drag Intercooler - $415.00
TiAL HP Wastegate (red) - $200.00

i still have to buy this stuff:
Misc Oil lines / Fittings - $145.00
Downpipe Flange and Meijer Jank Flexpipe - $40
S-AFC, DSM 450cc Injectors, Resistor Box - $350
BKR-7E plugs (gap to .030) - $8

so far i've spent $1806. it's gona take a lot more than you think. it'll be worth it in the end, when my car breaks all the time. but for those 10 seconds of boost, i'll be free

My old piping was cut to specs....then welded. I hate having like 8 different sections of piping to blow off during boost.

I had 1 whole piping form turbo to IC, then 1 whole piping from IC to TB

hell yeah....that is how I am going to weld mine too....I really dont want to have the damn pipes blowing out of the couplings at high boost....

AS far as piping, I have my old AEM for a charge pipe(a little on the ghetto side, but it works) and I spent 39 bux at JC whitney and ordered a 180 degree U bend and two 90 degree elbows. Upon installing the kit I will just measure, cut and get the pipes welded. No biggie...the problem I am having is finding a good cheap 3' downpipe. I dont really wanna settle and get the 2.5(looking for 400whp). Also, all the oil feed/return fittings and tees for the back of the block can be a little annoying. All my fittings are earls...a little on the expensive side but they rock.

I only need a 3' DP, 75 lb/hr injectors, and a b.o.v. Not to mention the 3bar map...but thats small stuff. Good luck...

wow...that some good stuff. another few questions i had were, how much power did you get and how much did you guys get your custom prefab done for?

oh yea...i've been hearing about a v-afc hack a lot. what exactly does that do?

how much power did you get
Don't know because there are no chassis dynos in VT, but according to my math, about 170 HP and 140 ft lbs.

and how much did you guys get your custom prefab done for?
Cost of materials. I never charge myself for labor. I'm a nice guy like that; it keeps me coming back.

It acts like a standalone fuel controller. Do a search up in the top right corner of the page for AFC HACK and SMC and read all about it.

to whoever asked where i paid 300 for a t3:

my turbo was expensive becuase the condition is immaculate. it's polished, and the guy put on a new turbine housing with a .63 a/r instead of a .48

Check my sig site.

Click on "Randy's parts."
That was my ghetto setup with FMU. I am running standalone now.

i think thats rather cheap, especially seeing how good your turbo looks.

Sawzall! Or make the charge pipe two pieces. They don't weld them in place in the car, so they have to have one IN, right? I
