Default Most comfortable sportbike.

What do you guys, who have ridden a sportbike on a longer trip, think the most comfortable 600 is? Add anything I missed.

r6 comfortable for long rides?

Yzf600r is fairly comfortable and so are most the kawi's I've been on. zx6r/7r/9r
Cbr's are good except the tank height is made for beer bellied riders and the seats are no better than wood planks. Good for weight shifting, bad for freeway

R6 hurts my wrists for long rides. i'd have to say the Hondas are the most comfy...but none of them are comfortable for long rides.

Ya I know a comfortable sportbike is a bit of a contradiction, but Im still thinking about taking one on 3 or 4 day trip out to the west coast. I sat on an r6 and a yzf6 yesterday...pretty damn low. I might look at an f4 and get an aftermarket seat and handlebar risers.

if you were going f4i, I'd recommend the seat and a tank pad. I wouldn't touch the clipons b/c that'll effect the steering setup. A softer, not as table like seat will help a lot as will the tank pad unless you happen to have a healthy belly. Maybe a double bubble windscreen if you're going long distance freeway speed.

i like the seating on the F4i but the seat itself is hard as a rock..it's like sitting on solid metal....what sort of seat do you ppl reccomend to replace this POS seat.?

I've got a Ninja ZX-6E. Everyone of my buddies who rides it calls it the "Cadillac with a kick". It's got the most up-right (least wrist cranking) seating position that I've seen. She's got a full instrument cluster w/ gas gauge and a center stand! She's a "portly chick" at 430lbs, but set the suspension dampening to 2 and you'll swear you're on a Goldwing...until you hit the throttle, that is. I've ridden her 6 hours with just a quick stop for gas once. My rear hurt, but my wrists and forearms were fine.

SV is like the older gs's and the yammy streetbike(naked). You can get the sv's in plastic too. Very similiar to kawi zr7? Something like that, 5spd zx7 type bike

Kawasaki has some nice models, they have the 600R and a 600 model. Same kind of specs as the difference between the R6 and the yzf600 i think, and I would presume the ergonomics are better on the latter bikes.

If the year doesn't matter i'd go with a 97-98 Yzf 600 or a 99-00 f4, both very comfortable bikes for the long haul...and both very capable for spirited rides!!!

i would have to agree with the F4i seat. it hurts, especially for guys like me who are skinny and dont have much padding back there. other than that, i really dont have any complaints with the comfort.

Why not get a sport tourer instead if you want comfort? Most people dont even come close to using their bikes ability.

wow! my bike came up in this forum and it wasnt even me talking about it for once!

yeah its pretty much a sporty standard with a fairing (now) and dual disc brakes etc.

in the event i dont get a house next year, i am probly upgrading to the SV1000S ... v-twin literbike. with the suzuki TL-R engine and streetable ergonomics

i'm not trying to ruin the mood and lecture. But. I didn't like that remark in your poll. The one that was like, "Muslims stop killing us!!".
I thought that was very biased. It bothers me when i see things like this. I mean. In my opinion it's just senseless.

I'm sorry if you feel that way. By the way, I am muslim myself. But, in reality, muslims are not like that. every muslim i've known in my life has been very hearty and very kind. It is just some of the muslims are misled and act in threatening ways. That does not mean all muslims are like that. Please, don't make remarks about my religion, it hurts me and my people deeply.
Thank you. "Assalamo Alaikum Warahmatullahi wabarakathu."
God bless you, for short.
