Default found out what is wrong with the si motor

well the kid i bought the car off of beat the crap out of this car every day. and when i started it up and it ran like crap..i did a compression test and found no that there was 0 compress in #2 so i though that a valve was broke or stuck open.
well i just got done takeing the head off and well the intake valves were bent and beat to hell. then i started to think well that isnt so bad i will just put my z6 head on there and i will be all good. then i started to look at the other pistons and noticed that the two middle ones were in different positions. so i took the wooden handel and pushed down on the #2 piston and it went down and none of the other pistons were moving so that means that the conecting rod is broken plus the piston is all beat up.

so i am going to put a dx motor in there for the winter with the si cams and intake system.
i also just bought a clutch masters stage 1 clutch and i will be installing that.

so my ?s are how much would the dx motor be making with the si cam and intake?

also what sould i do with the d16a6?

i was just going to save the head till i rebuild the motor.

so what sould i get for this motor? high compression pistons and go hard core n/a.

or go low compression pistons with some good rods and turbo the car?

help me out here because once i start this it is going to be my winter/spring thing.

thanks
justin

The Dx engine with the Si intake and cam should make almost hp as the Si engine. I'm guessing around 100 hp. As far as the Si engine, tear it down and see what you can save. The block and crank may be damaged from the broken rod. Getting your block, head and crank checked for damage by a machine shop is probably a good idea. If they are salvageable, rebuild it with low compression pistons and good rods for turbocharging. That setup ought to have more potential than the n/a one.

a dx block (non std d15b2) w/o si head and mpfi swap creates over 108 crank hp.
an 88 std block (d15b1) w/o si head created more crank hp than the d15b2 mpfi swap.

a dx block w/ si head will create more hp than w/o the si head
an 88 std block w/ si head create more hp than the dc w/ si head

my set up creates more HEHEHEHHEEHE

fyi 88 d15b1s are the only d15b1/2 w/ 9.6:1 stock comrpession everything else is 9.2:1
