Hondata Question...

I've been gathering information on an ODB1 conversion for my '88 CRX B16 with PR3 before going Hondata. However, I've got a deal pending for a ZDYNE Gold ECU with 450cc injectors for $800. The investment for ODB1 is substantial (ECU, distributor, harnesses) and this doesn't include the Hondata so the ZDYNE is looking better and better, especially since I can use my existing ECU.
My question is, do I have to go ODB1 to get the most for my money? What's the major difference between a Hondata 4b on a PR3 as compared to a 4b on an ODB1 ECU? I know I can't install the new S-series but I'm fine with the original stage.
Can someone tell me what I lose with the 4b on ODB0 or what I can't do that a 4b ODB1 can?
Thanks!
Raul

Depends on if youre building a full race (no closed loop needed), or a daily commute. PR3 & PW0 use two oxygen sensors arranged to read one cylinder pair per sensor. You cant switch them around or have them both on the downpipe and expect to have good closed loop operation. Im not familar with the Zdyne one sensor. If it gets rid of closed loop op. then its gonna suck driving around town.
Convert to OBD1 if you want seamless closed loop operation.
