eg or crx??
IN your opinion..... would it be better to do a b18c1 swap into an 89 crx si or a 92 hatch?? Which swap would cost less, and be more effective. Seeing the crx is a little bit lighter, it might be quicker....
Personally, I would do it on a 92 hatch because of all the room in the engine bay, you don't need a mount kit and did I mention space in the engine bay? Those 2 don't weigh too much different. The wiring is already OBD1, so I would use an OBD1 GSR ECU and it would be simple and run right with the right ECU.
Never did one before though, but many friends do it in a 92 hatch. I hate how much room I'm lacking in my 89 hatchs engine bay

Both swaps require a mount kit. A GSR swap into an EG would be easier, but more expensive because you are going to use a hydro trans. The swap into a CRX requires a little more labor, but it is going to be faster than an EG. I would go for the CRX just because I like CRX's better. I just sold my EG hatch to buy my CRX.

EG would be cheaper for the actual swap, and would be easier. Being that you won't need a mount kit, just have to replace the rear mount with a Del Sol. It would plug right in, the most you would have to wire up is VTEC, unless you get an Si or a VX. But, the car itself is gonna cost more to buy, and more on insurance.
CRX/EF would cost more for the initial engine swap, since you'd need a mount kit, and custom linkages. Plus you'll deffinatly have to atleast wire up VTEC. If you get an Si or HF with MPFI, all you'll have to wire up is VTEC. Get a DX with the Dual-Point Injection, and you'll have to modify the whole wiring harness, or buy one from HASport. But, the CRX is gonna cost less to buy, plus insurance is gonna be cheaper.
So there's good and bad about both choices.. I saw go with a CRX.
Lighter and cooler car..

eg would be easier and cheaper(no need for motor mounts)...but everyone has an EG....CRX can be had for cheaper although the pice of used EGs have dropped lately
EDIT: no need for AFTERMARKET motor mounts....hehe you still need motor mounts
