On the way home from taking my little brother from the doctor today a car in front of me blew a flat in the front tire. The car starts to drift left so I tihnk to myself "No problem" make a lane change to the right. As I change lanes, a large piece tread of the blown tire separates and flys in my direction.

Since there is no more room to maneuver, I slow down to try to lessen the effects of the impact. I thought the impact would just scratch and chip the lip but it did a lot more damage than I expected.





Do any of you JDM converted boys wanna hook a fellow owner out with you old front lip?

it might be too late but you should have stopped and told the driver to pay for the damage to your car from his tire.

should of stopped... he would be liable for teh damage...

 

I thought I had just ran over the chunk of tread. I didn't think it had hit my front end that hard. **** it it's too late to change anything now. Anyone got an OEM lip laying around?

 

It happend to me as well, now I just run with no lip.

At least until I can get it fixed

just fix the crack like you would body damage, get some plastic bondo sand primier and repaint the lip, or that area

 

Yeah, that'll be very flexible.

 

if you add the right cmopound for plastic it can be rather flexible.

 

Would YOU go through this much trouble for a front lip?

i hit a possum and the same thing happened, just to my bumper lip. the OEM lip covered that all up
