Block gurad on boosted ls/vtec?

Block gurad on boosted ls/vtec?
I was just wondering if this was a good idea, cause i have heard that adding one of these to your boosted setup was a good thing. I have also heard that adding one to a boosted ls/vtec was not?
Does anyone know for sure?

best sort of thing like that you can get for an ls/vtec is a crank girdle. get a block gaurd if you are running high compression too.
