Deer suck!!!!!(wrecked my car)
Well after busting my *** for a month on my auto to manual and two motors later. I finally got to drive my car last tuesday. I told my mom i was just gonna run down the road see how it ran and come back and she could go get insurance on it in the morning. Not even a mile from my house i turn around and head back satisfied with how it ran. And all of a sudden 3 does run out in front of me and i hit the one in the middle. Breaking both of her back legs. Came home beyond pissed off, and told my parents to go kill the deer. So now i need a whole new front end on my car. Fenders, hood, radiatior, fans, core support, lights. But at least now we have meat for thanksgiving
If anyone has a cheap crx for sale in ga.(motor blown is fine)let me know cuz i need a new car now.
*cliffnotes* First day i drive my car after auto to manual i hit a deer and total it.

How fast were you going? I hit a dear in my Rex at like 20 or so mph and all it did was put a little dent in my hood and a little dent from its hoof in the top of my fender. Which neither matter since my hood and fender was dented up from being backed into!!

I hit the coyote(50+lbs) that was chasing the deer back in 1997 that totaled my 1990 Honda CRX Si that I bought with 34,000 original miles. This car was my baby!
I had cat-back exhaust from Dynomax and beautiful Honda windsheild graphic that I designed myself and a DC Sports intake. The coyote itself did not do all the totalling but the tree that I ripped out by the roots after sailing 150 feet on the drivers side edges of the tires (I could not get my arms around the tree) and a 1 ton boulder that sat next to the tree along with spinning around after that and splitting another tree with the same gerth which just from the impact blew out the opposite rear window. Needless to say I crawled out of the sunroof but I took a kidney shot from the drivers side armrest that hurt like hell and I also learned the hard way why you let go of the steering wheel before impact. I did not break anything but I had dark bruising from my wrists to my elbows all the way around. I was only doing 50mph in a 45mph zone, The one night I did not do 80mph on that road, Which if I did the coyote would have ran behind me.

Sir I am deeply sorry for your loss. I have just recently completely torn apart a 1989 CRX SI in order to convert my 1991 hatch from an auto to manual. I am nopw trying to get info on the final wiring.
The Crx was complete so I have everything from the distributor to the wiring harness. But I am having trouble with geting complete info on the wiring hook up.
If you would be so kind as to help me I will mail you a set of headlamp assemblies from the Crx along with any other lights that havent been trashed and the core supports for the radiator.
Thanks and I hope my spare parts will be of some help.

My dad Hit a deer going like 90 down a country road in North Carolina years ago in hid 71 datsun 240 Z... That car was good for parts for years... hehehe
backstrap = loin (arguable the best cut of the deer)
Sucks about your car, try and keep an attentive eye when traveling in deer infested areas man. I live in NJ and the deer population is booming, in fact in Princeton snipers were hired to kill deer. They get paid to do it, pretty cool. Also they get to use silencers so when they kill one deer in a herd, the others aren't spooked from the sound of the shot. But yeah I'm always slowing down and pointing out deer to my girl that she never sees. Keep an eye out man.

Thanks alot guys. I wasnt going fast at all i had just gotten in second gear and there were 3 and it was basiclly pick which one. We estimated the deer wieghed around 150. Anyone that has ?'s about the wring of auto to manual just pm me. And if anyone knows of any cheap crx's in southern tenn. or north ga let me know.
I only have a pic of the hood. The rest of the car my dad took apart once I got back home to see what all I would need. I cant really afford a jdm front end right now so thats out of the picture.
LOL! Sorry to hear that though. I remember one day last year on the way back from Ocean City I was driving back home to DC. I was going like 90mph and all of a sudden a dumb *** bird decides to hit my windshield at that speed and gets hit hard and goes straight up into the air and then it hits the ground and his bird buddy checks on him and hes dead.

I hit a deer two winters ago. I was on a 2 lane road, one lane was the momma, the other was the baby. I went for the mama, clipped her and she rolled up my windshield. She got up an ran into the woods. I needed a new hood, windshield, quarter panel headlight, and cornerlamp. It was so random because there are barely any trees in the area. I think the low front end saved the car because I hit the legs instead of the body.
Well I had a similar incident one time while driving my 89 astro van... I fell asleep crossed a median and took down six out of eight mailboxes in a row.... All had FAT wooden posts, screwed it up. BUT thats how I got my hatch
!!!
Well come to think of it.. thats not at all similar to the situation... but the outcome is nice
