Sorry to post such a simple, beat up topic...I searched the archives and only came up with a few useless pics of random spoilers.

I have seen the quality of the VIS hoods, and despite what people say I was very impressed. I know there are other options as far as Spoon, Benen, etc. but for the price it really can't be beat if it is anywhere near the quality of the hood. After all, this is a cosmetic piece, so looks is what really matters most in this case.

Please don't give me the "you get what you pay for" BS...I know better than anyone that doesn't hold much water.

It is very late, i know this, i am dead tired and i would still like to know the answer to this one. Im not sure wheter i want the JDM SiR2 or the duckbill.

I got the least expensive peice I could find, painted it flat black, and called it good. Who cares what it looks like? It's lighter, and works at speeds over 85 mph

 

i got the the vis duckbill spoiler the weave is perfect the only thing i had a problem with is the wholes to put the screws in didn't line up with the stock wholes so fitmint isn't great but i was able to fit all 4 bolts in, but it was a very very tight fit, but no regrets here i'm happy with it, and i get lots of compliments on it.

Anyone have a good picture of the fitment? Are the edges smooth like their hoods? Or is it cut?

 

I have never seen the duckbill but I had a VIS hood on my hatch. They are very good quality and fitment was perfect.

well i'm not sure about the duckbill, but certain new carbon fiber spoon style lips have a new resin and clear coat on them that is even better than what they had. i've only seen one bad weave since they got better at carbon and it was messed up cause it was custom made for a new warner brothers movie. not sure why they messed it up though? i have also had problems with the fitment, but only on my brothers car. he did get his stock dinky litle wing jacked before and i'm not sure if that tweaked out the hinges or not. yet in all actuality the vis has a nice weave a clean finish top and bottom it fits great and the resin and clear coat doesn't fade cause of their new process with u.v. protectant and stuff. all this is just my opinion of being there a lot and actually seeing and having the new improvements shown to me by the owners and satisfied customers.

I wish I had time to drive all the way down to Alhambra. I get one day off a week, and I refuse to drive down there.

Btw, is the VIS an exact replica of the Spoon, or does it slant at a different angle or pitch?

it's not an identical weave... the closest weaves i've seen are the ones on the c/f products InlineFOUR sells but F them IMO.
I have the hood and front lip on my EG. i am very pleased. the fitment is perfect and the weave is flawless af far as i have noticed so far. when i picked up my lip they didnt have any duckbills so havent even seen one myself sorry*

Ive heard good things about VIS and this thread seems to make what i heard true!! I was lookin into gettin their hood, now i might want their lip and wing too!
