Default DX to EX longblock change

hey guys, i can get a used d16z6 longblock for 140 bucks. its only longblock tho. nothing else... i would just like to know what off of my DX (d15b7) i can use to swap onto the z6. im hoping most everything minus distributor and ECU. Id like to make this my first "swap" even tho it is a pansy swap... but info would be appriciated.

i can also get the distributor and correct manifolds (IM and exh with the 4? wire o2 sensor) for 200 shipped, and a trans for 150 plus shipping. but hopefully i can stick on my DX manifolds/harness/alternator... etc etc etc.. until i can get the $$$ for the right stuff.

You won't be able to use your stock harness, you will have to add wire for VTEC. Most of the other stuff SHOULD fit. It sounds like you are getting the most important stuff for the D16Z6 already. Just do a search for the VTEC pin-outs. I'm too lazy to search for it myself right now. Either way, you should have a shop manual.

*edit* Didn't see that you don't have the ECU...you will need that. Try eBay, or http://www.thepartstrader.com

Probably between 300 & 500, depending on the condition. Don't forget about the D16Y8 though! They should go for about the same.
