I recently purchased a dead 92 accord that had been sitting for about 7 years. Finally got it running and going through a list of issues and refreshing stuff.
Currently, im getting a Code 43 and a code 1 on the car. Ive already replaced the 02 sensor with a new one(i used a Bosch, but it looks like i should be using a Denso instead? Do they read different and make a significant difference to the ecu?).
In general, the car runs great for the first 10-15 miles. Then starts sputtering and feels severely underpowered after. When having disconnected the battery and replaced to new sensor however, it drives incredibly well. Idles perfectly on cold start.
And just so yall have this, here's what ive replaced in case it matters.
Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter
Distributer Cap
Rotors
Spark Plug Wires
Would love some direction on this. I have a multimeter coming in soon to test the sensor and circuitry as well as the Haynes manual. Never had a car this old before. So learning this on the spot. Would like to get this smogged by the end of the week.
