1999 Honda accord 2.3 lx coupe f23a1 swap with f23a
I’m going to be doing a f23a jdm swap on my accord and I want any info on the swap I’ve been seeing maybe things but I want some information on what needs to be swapped and if I can run my stock ecu with the f23a
Reuse your intake, VTEC solenoid/sensor, intake, and water tube from your USDM engine for an easy swap.
Adjust the valves and check the plugs.
I seen something about the temp sensors being wired differently like one to the ecu and one to the dash and something about the crank sensor
There are two things to look for.
JDM vs USDM differnces, which can mostly be avoided by retaining your USDM intake/distributor/watertube/etc. and 98/99 vs 00-02 differences.
98/99 cars use two thermo sensors. One for the ecu and another for the gauge.
On the later cars there is only one thermo sensor for the ECU which then sends info to the dash.
Swap USDM original sensors onto your JDM engine.
