Hello!

For years I’ve been lifting one side of the car using the Honda-supplied jack, then switching to a floor jack to lift the front. I’m wondering what y’all have been using?

With only 5.375” of ground clearance, it’s been difficult to find a jack that fits underneath without first raising the car. This becomes especially frustrating when changing transmission fluid, since there’s no dipstick.

Is there a better setup or method you can recommend

 

Drive the car up on a pair of 2x10's to "lift" the front end another inch and a half... then use your floor jack under the front.

 

A stock civic has no problem fitting the low profile 3 ton jack from harbor freight you could have bought for under $100 last week.

 

Now, you tell him !!! LOL
