Default 04 civic ex limp mode

Last year my car has been having issues turning on. Car would crank but no start. I had in mind it was my immobilizer. So I took out the immobilizer chip off my ecu no car is in limp mode. Now does my car need the immobilizer chip to get out of limp mode? Or is it other codes.

First, check the codes to see if there is something stored that might be causing the poor engine performance. It is likely that you damaged the ECU when you attempted to remove the Immobilizer device inside the ECU. You may have to replace the ECU and have it programmed to match your key and immobilizer ring.
