Current manufacturer of Honda OEM MAP sensors?
Denso made the MAP sensor which was on our 1998 Accord EX 4 cyl. It failed (in a strange way) but replacing it with a Denso MAP sensor from a similar car in the junk yard resolved all the issues. Problem is, that replacement sensor is also 28 years old, so it might be prudent to put a new one on. Looking on Denso's site the list of parts they make for the 1998 no longer includes a MAP sensor. Honda still sells MAP sensors for this car

but who makes them now? This part is shown in a bunch of Ebay posts as "Denso" and "new", but I'm taking that with a very large grain of salt.
If any of you have purchased an OEM MAP sensor like this in the last couple of years, could you please have a look at the top and see if it is marked with a manufacturer's name?
Thanks.

Unless you know the history of a used part that's a bit of an assumption.
It may only be a few years old.
Either way, age doesnt determine part condition.
If its working within parameters then it will last as long as it will last.
Another assumption.
Denso, or any other o.e.m., may not list all o.e.m. parts that they currently make for an manufacture.
Possibly aftermarket, but even then the list may not be complete.
Most likely, it's still Denso.
Honda, and most other manufactures, contract out smaller or specialty components to suppliers that then become O.E.M. suppliers.
Honda produces bodies, powertrain, and the programming for said vehicles. Everything else is produced by some other entity contracted by Honda.
One of the stipulations most manufactures will make is the parts suppliers cannot make that exact same part and sell it to the aftermarket.
Parts supplier may be allowed to make their own version of a part, and it may be very similiar, but it is not the same.
Supplier may also determine that the costs associated with making their own version of the part may not be financially feasible.
A part, with a given part number, sold from Honda in a 'Honda' labeled baggy is not the same as what you get from the local retail parts store.
If you want an new OE part, or equivalant, dealership parts department/supplier will have that part.
Anywhere else will have a similiar component but not the OEM piece.
