So I've been a Honda owner for a couple of years. I have a 1998 Honda Accord LX VTEC 2.3 l 4 cylinder. So I recently purchased the engine off the internet when you got here it was not an f-23a1 it was f23a and there's a couple little like things that are different about it I want to know if this is normal and the VTech where you plug in the solenoid at the top and then on the side of the VTEC is supposed to be another plug for the oil pressure sensor I believe it is. Well on my new engine it didn't come with that it looks like somebody taking that off and replace it with a bolt. I want to know if this is normal? Or did these people that had shipped my engine sabotage me? Tomorrow in the daylight I'm going to take some pictures and I'll let you know when I'm talking about, if there's anybody out there that can help me... Thank you

 

JDM engines are slightly different.
F23A = F22A1
F22B = F22B1
And so on.

Intake, distributor, VTEC solenoid and other components will be slightly different between market engines.

When replacing a USDM engine with its JDM counterpart, you must reuse USDM components on the JDM engine.

Take note of differences and swap appropriately.
