Icon5 EM1 ECU Harness Help

We're trying to get my buddy's barn find '00 EM1 running but we're stuck on the ECU. Pics in spoilers. Motor is a B16A2. Where do all these connectors go? The ECU doesn't fit them all. Do we not have the correct ECU, are some of the connectors unnecessary, or is the harness hacked and should we replace it? We're stumped and can't find much info online. TIA

Default Re: EM1 ECU Harness Help

If the part number on the side of the ECU is 37820-P2T-AXX, then it is correct. The engine harness in your first photo above is NOT an EM1 harness... it appears to be a '96-98 manual harness... I cannot tell from this angle which trim level. This is why you have TWO of the same plugs in your photo... one on the engine harness and the other one coming from the under-dash harness (pinched between your thumb and fingertips in the first photo). They are both referred to as the "A" plug. The proper engine harness will only have a "B" and "C" ECU plugs (larger grey and blue plugs - not the smallest one) and a green crossover plug, whereas, the chassis will have the "A" plug and the opposing green crossover plug. Nothing will be connected to the "D" ECU position (there are no pins in this location on the proper ECU).
