Hello everyone!

I have an auto, 2.4, 2007 Honda Accord, bought directly from Honda Dealership in Central America, so it has some fundamental differences to the USDM Federal Accords.

How it started?

Due to a heater core failure that flooded the cabin, my original ECM (37820-RAA-K57) was water-damaged beyond repair. Being in Guatemala, sourcing an exact regional replacement has been difficult. I previously tried a local K53 unit, but it was for a Drive-by-Cable setup and was incompatible as it didnt find the TPS and IAC

Where the problems began:

I have successfully sourced and installed a USDM federal-spec ECM: 37820-RAD-A59. While the vehicle starts and the immobilizer is functional, the car is stuck in limp mode (~3,000 RPM limit) I believe due to hardware mismatches between the USDM software and the LATAM hardware.

The ECM is throwing DTCs for the following, which my vehicle was not equipped with from the factory:
  • MAF Sensor: My vehicle is strictly MAP-based. Code P0102
So, my accord does not have a MAF

Honda Motor Company Grille

It also does not have an EGR valve

Engine Honda Motor Company
  • Engine Cooolant Temp ECT: Code P2185, my car does not use a thermistor on the radiator, its just a simple thermoswitch that turns on the fan after certain temp has been reached.
  • Evap system: Voltage Low. Code P0498, also, I believe that my car has no such hardware or if it does is simplified.
  • VTEC Oil Pressure Switch: My VTEC solenoid does not include the pressure switch (similar to JDM specs). Code P2647
Machine Automotive Fuel System Engine Electrical cable Wire

Soooo, what are my options here? sourcing an exact 37820-RAA-K57 ECM has been a nightmare, USDMs modules give me this whole heap of trouble and I cannot use a K51 o K53 because they are meant to be used by a Drive by Cable system.

Does anybody got documentation about the ECMs suffixes besides RAD-Axx and RAD-Lxx?

Would it be possible to "disable" these checks? I'm specially worried about the MAF one, I couldnt be as simple as deleting the DTC check like a Catalyst Coverter for example.

Or are there any other markets where the cars are "simpler" like this one and try to import an ECM from there?

Any help or insight or direction would be greatly appreciated.
