Hello guys, newbie here. I just picked up my first Honda. It’s a 2000 Civic EX coupe five speed. It needs exhaust. What do you recommend? I don’t want it to be too loud and I definitely don’t want any drone. Also would like the most economical choice too. As I didn’t give much for the car. Thanks for your input.

 

Best / cheapest option is to find a GOOD exhaust shop that will build you a catback in their shop. Mine was rusting through in several spots. They used slightly larger diameter tubing from factory, removed the resonator and replaced the large factory muffler with a small magnaflow. She sounds great, no drone, and even get some little pops on decel.
for an off the shelf option, I’ve heard good things about Yonaka, but seems like their resonator tends to hang pretty low. I think my shop charged me under $200 for the work.(I also have cheap eBay headers, as my manifold was cracked through, discovered while replacing the head gasket)
