240mA Parasitic Draw - Suspecting the ICU (Integrated Control Unit)
I am troubleshooting a persistent parasitic draw on my 1994 Honda Civic 1.6si (D16A9 engine). After removing the aftermarket alarm and power window module, I am still measuring a 0.24A (240mA) draw while the car is off. Before I replace or repair my ICU, I want to confirm if it controls the following features on this specific European/Middle Eastern D16A9 model:
Has anyone experienced a ~240mA leak caused specifically by a failing ICU?
If I bypass the ICU, will the car remain drivable for daily use?
Thanks in advance for your help!
- Intermittent Wipers: Does the ICU manage the 'INT' timing?
- Warning Chimes: Does it control the "Key-in-Ignition" and "Headlights-on" warning beeps?
- Rear Defogger Timer: Does it handle the auto-off function for the rear glass heater?
- Seatbelt Light: Does it manage the initial warning light/chime?
- Entry Light Delay: Does it provide the dimming effect for the cabin light?
