2000 Civic Si SRS System Question – Crash Sensors vs SRS Module Only?
Hey everyone,A couple of months ago I was in a front end collision on my Honda Civic Si 2000. The airbags deployed. I decided that I wanted to rebuild this car like I had already done (car is currently running well). In doing so, I couldn't figure out what are all the components for SRS system in this car.I'm trying to confirm how crash detection is handled on this generation Civic.Does the SRS control module itself handle all crash sensing?Or are there separate external impact / inertia sensors (front-mounted, under-dash, etc.) that feed into the SRS module?
I couldn't find any crash sensors in the front.I already sent the SRS control module to get a crash reset and wouldn't want my replacement airbags to deploy. Therefore, I want to replace all the necessary components before installing the SRS control module.
