Default 1999 Accord transmission slip

6th Gen Accord 2.3L with automatic transmission.
240K miles.
No check engine light. No OBD2 codes.

In D4, transmission slips sometimes at 3K rpm and immediately catches. Happens less when the engine/transmission are fully warmed up. Not noticing the slippage in D3. I'm thinking it's the shift between 3-4. Is one of the shift solenoids specifically for 3-4? Which one? I did a fluid drain & fill. It was not burnt and still a good color. I get 3 quarts out of it and I do this every 6 months.

Also, the D4 indicator light on the dash is off. It is the only thing on the car that doesn't work. I really don't want to remove the dash for potentially only 1 bad bulb. Could this light be out as another indication of a problem?

My next move is to clean all the external transmission solenoids. Can someone share a diagram identifying each of the solenoids?

Thank you.

Update:
I removed this solenoid and the screens were a bit caked up. Cleaned them out and the transmission slip is pretty much cured.

I;m glad it worked for you. I've been down this path, and I recommend you start budgeting for a used or reman transmission in the near future. These simple DIY screen-cleaning fixes are not a permanent solution for these cars.
