Default ❄️Icy roads, black ice, and close calls: how are you driving this winter?

As winter sets in, icy and snowy roads become more and more common. Slippery surfaces, reduced visibility, and the risk of black ice can make driving especially dangerous.
Even so, some people still have no choice but to head out for work despite the risks, while others feel anxious and uneasy when driving on icy roads.

Even in some southern regions, winter conditions can lead to serious icing. One driver shared:“In the south we don't really have all the machinery the north does. The icy snowy roads are cleared once maybe twice with a coat of salt and magnesium... Through the day it melts and then freezes again leaving us with literal ice for miles on end.”

Another driver pointed out: "The biggest problem I see with winter driving is that a lot of people don't seem to realize that they have to give themselves more room to stop safely and that they have to slow down for corners.”

Now we'd love to hear from you.
What's winter driving like where you live right now? Have you dealt with ice, snow, or black ice this season, and how did it go?
What habits, tips, or hard-learned lessons have helped you stay safe on slippery roads?

Share your experiences below! Whether it's advice, close calls, or everyday routines. Your input could really help other drivers feel more prepared and confident this winter.
