wierd math 2.6qt=1gallon?
Hi all, I just bought a 2012 Accord lx 2.4 with the automatic. I changed the transmission fluid today, According to the manual and the internet, only 2.5-2.6 quarts were to drain out, In my case 1gallon drained out, The dipstick reads right at the top line, so I dont think its over filled, Is this common?
Thanks
Thanks
When you drained the fluid, was the car raised up level to the ground or was it tilted backwards, for example just supported in the front and on the rear wheels? More fluid drains if you have the car inclined back like that and you'll need another quart or two. I like to do the transmission fluid exchange this way to get more fluid out.
i didnt think about that, It makes sense now that I think about it, You would think since the drain is at the lowest point that there is where the most oil would come out. but well here I am.
Thank you
Thank you
