We bought a 98 honda accord lx. Didn't run when I got it. Had the rubber from the boots melted around the plugs. We cleaned it all out and put new plugs and wires. It will crank and backfire but it won't start. We also got new battery and new crankshaft sensor. Looking for all advice to get it running

 

Cam sensor.

Be sure that the timing belt didn't slip a tooth or two.

Firing order of spark plug wires. look under the cap to ensure a good rotor and inside of cap.

I assume that the fuel pump is working (turning on)?
