2005 Honda Element squeak noise disappears after turning the steering wheel
My 2005 Honda Element squeaks when I warm it up daily but the noise stops when I turn the steering wheel left or right. The noise does not occur while driving. It does go away after driving for sometime and being warmed. However, sometimes when randomly parked, the noise re-appears, but again, it goes away when the vehicle is in drive, accelerating, and when the steering wheel is turned.
Does anyone have any idea where the noise is originating from?
Also, the noise does occur sometimes when the vehicle is in reverse.
If anyone has any insight, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I bought a 2007 CR-V that had a similar issue. The noise was from the passenger side of the engine, where the water pump, A/C, alternator, power steering pump, and tensioner are located. I could never pinpoint the source, and so started replacing components one at a time. Turns out the issue was the power steering pump reservoir. It has a strainer in it, which was restricting the oil supply to the PS pump when the oil was cold.
Try removing the reservoir and cleaning it thoroughly. It would also help to change the power steering fluid. Be sure to use Honda fluid, its different from other typical power steering fluids. Or you could just replace the reservoir, which isn't an expensive part.
