Hey there! I recently bought a 1999 Honda Civic ck, and have been waying my options on replacing the airbag. I need an airbag to pass the insurance inspection, the previous owner installed a quick release wheel. Of course I could go to a dealer or mechanic, but was wondering if anyone has tried to install an airbag themselves? I don’t necessarily need it to be functional, I just need the srs light to turn on to pass (along with actually having the airbag in the wheel). I got and airbag and wheel from a pick and pull, however the clock spring detached from the cable. I know nothing about this, but is it possible to just reattach the clock spring? Any advice would be appreciated.

 

Probably not... get another clock spring.

 

If you are trying to do anything with the airbag yourself and you have no idea how to do it, first disconnect the battery because you can hurt yourself by accidentally triggering the airbag.
