Stalling, positive to fuse box melted?
Afraid to remove the connector, it has dielectric grease oozed out. I need car to still be able to run. Maybe it's melted on and once I remove it won't work?
Car runs fine, other than very random stalling
Here's the story,
I unplugged the passenger seat for removal without disconnecting battery. Electrical taped it up and tucked it under carpet on floor(there is also metal right there, and definite moisture.
Was fine for a month then one hot day I smelled electrical smell.
From engine bay
I also have key read issue from sunroof leak common issue
I have to tap steering wheel sometimes to start, that's different issue for years.
I removed ALL fuses that have to do with SRS to isolate if that is the fault of the stalling.
Now car does not stall as much, and is also having an easier time reading the key.
Motivated to solve on my own(and now with any of you who would like to help).
Distributer cap is compromised where the connector is, moisture gets in.
I did recently just have a headlight bulb go out on same side as engine fuse box(related?)
No multimeter skills, but maybe that's the next step.
I found one more SRS fuse that I did not notice.
Just pulled that let's see if it helps
