Default No AC

Bought a new Accord Hybrid sport last month, has 1500 miles on it. All of a sudden the air quit working. everything in the dash controls work. it just blows hot air and the compressor wont kick on. anyone else experience this? Thanks

shot in the dark- my guess would be on the clutch electrical side: fuse, loose wire or something simple like that.

But I wouldn't bother doing anything about it until the service department has a look- what's wrong with your 3 year 36k mile warranty?

nothing. They’ll cover it but they don’t have any loaners available and this is my only car. Just wondering if anyone else has the same experience with this few miles on a new Accord Hybrid.

The dealer said there was no refrigerant in the system. They evacuated the system recharged it and could find no leaks. Said they’re ordering some special dye they didn’t have and told me to bring it back in a week and they’ll check it again.

low refrigerant is a reasonable cause for the symptoms, but pretty odd at that mileage. warranty is only 2 years on refrigerant instead of 3. I'm curious what they will find as the cause of the loss.
