Museum quality 1991 Civic LX - need motor mounts
Hey guys. I have a 1991 Civic LX sedan with 90k. It's in immaculate condition. I'm redoing a bunch of mechanical stuff on it to restore it to like new condition mechanically.
In October 2025, are there any replacement motor mounts that are superior than the traditional rubber ones? Anything that will last forever? I've seen some silicone motor mounts but I didn't find any for this Civic. Also I saw some motor mount inserts but are they worth it? I'd still have to replace the rubber parts?
Any suggestions on the best motor mounts I can get for the least amount of vibration and the longest lasting?

If it is indeed "Museum quality" I would think you would be looking for OEM or the closest substitution you could find. I would love to see a few pictures!
Sure thing, when I put it back together!
OEM always sounds like a good option but are all engine mounts still made of rubber? There's no new materials that make them last forever? I've seen silicone mounts for other cars online so I assume it's a new material for this use case. Are the silicone mounts superior to OEM?
