So i got a 2005 civic lx. It will fire up and idle. but it will click the fuel pump relay every 4 or 5 seconds with a hiccup in engine idle for a few minutes and then the click seems to subside. when you accelerate is hesitates but then the catalytic starts to glow red. If I remove the exhaust manifold from the equation, the relay hiccup still persists at startup and slows down but it still idles nice until i accel and it seems to be hiccupping. so no difference..

Computer has been changed and adapted to ignition key.

Compression on all cylinders is consistent.

If i disconnect the "power" to each spark module i get a definitive drop so i believe all spark modules are working. even if I swap positions.
ran it with no cat thinking cat was clogged but same outcome.

**problem connecting to the computer with obd scanner. it fails!!!**** Maybe this.....

Can someone please help me go in the right direction without just throwing money at the engine?

Also no gauges work.

 

Hey did you redline the rpms? I did then knock sensor went out and then same problem idk what it is I've tried everything

 

Oh check if it's still in time....and see if the timing belt is loose
