Clutch fork not seated properly
Hi all,
Went to start my car after new manual swap, and I hear this horrible grinding noise. I thought it could be the clutch because I smelt something burning, but I think my clutch fork is simply not seated properly resulting in maybe the throwout bearing (TOB) just grinding away against the pressure plate? I think I have to remove the entire transmission though to re-seat the clutch fork.
Basically, there is just too much play in my clutch fork. The TOB is new and everything is brand new from exedy and LuK so i dont think those are the issues.
Does anyone know if it's possible to reseat the clutch fork on the ball without removing the tranny? The fork itself didn't have cracks last time I saw it, but maybe I should just remove to be safe.
