2007 CR-V Power Steering Pump
Please excuse me if this has been covered in another thread. I didn't find one but I may have missed it.
I'd like recommendations on a power steering pump for my 2007 CR-V. I replaced it last April with one I bought on Amazon; it failed a few days ago. The seller agreed to replace it (one-year warranty), but doesn't seem to be in a hurry to send me the replacement. Amazon initially refused to contact the seller on my behalf, but finally offered me a refund. Needless to say, I won't be buying that same pump again.
So any recommendations for a replacement would be greatly appreciated!

Once I got the pump off I was able to see the problem. The pump I bought came with a pulley installed. The pulley had come loose, totally off the pump shaft. It stripped the serrations on the shaft and pulley, making both useless.
The seller provided a replacement pump. I checked and the nut that holds the pulley on was not especially tight, and the pulley itself was only serrated for about 1/8 inch. I probably should have ordered another separate pulley, but instead I used red Locktite and torqued the nut to 25 ft-lbs. Hopefully (!) this time the pulley won't strip out, but at least the nut isn't coming off short of using a cutting torch.
If you need a replacement power steering pump I suggest you buy one that doesn't come with a pulley and a separate pulley.
