Default 00 Civic swap axles/halfshaft+ecu

Hello everybody, I'm doing a k24a+ep3 trans swap into my 2000 civic (I apologize if this is in the wrong place let me know where to put this thread in and ill move it) and I ran into a couple of issues.
1. For the Ecu I was told I can use an rsx ecu I have this harness: For Honda Acura K-Swap 02-04 RSX Type S K20 K24 K-Series Tucked Engine Harness | eBay
so the question is can I use a base rsx ecu or do i have to purchase the type s ecu?
I'm leaning towards the base ecu since I have a 5 speed and want to save a couple dollars.

2.As for axles, I read that I need rsx axles, i currently have ep3 axles (from what I was told at time of purchase) and want to try and use those. Midshaft I have no idea what its from and also need help with where I should source that from.

I want to source the parts from part outs or part stores so in case of need I don't have to wait for shipping but do realize I may need to order from online stores.

Thank you for your time! every bit of advice is appreciated!

The base RSX ECU is fine since you are using a 5-speed transmission... although, you will need the ECU upgraded with a Hondata K-Pro since your engine is a K24. EP3 and Base RSX axles are the same, so you can use either. This assumes that you are using a K20 midshaft... you can source the one you need from a base RSX, RSX-S, EP3, or an '06-11 Civic Si.

Thank you bro! I figured Hondata would be a must since the immobilizer would still be active (from what I've read) and would need to tune anyway for the displacement difference.

All true. Once tuned, I think you will be quite happy with your swap.
