Default What can you do with a hybrid, parts car possible.....

Guys, I don't know much about hybrids, never messed with one. I think they are a gas motor mated with an electric motor then somehow connected to a transmission of some sort. Question is can they be converted or can any parts be used on regular Civics. I have found a 2003 hybrid coming up at the local auction that I can buy for less than $400.00 Car is immaculate , body is perfect and beige interior is mint, clean, its like a brand new car. While motor/drivetrain is all there, it's prolly broke somehow and not worth investing any money in repairing.
Is it feasible to, if you have a complete donor car, to install a conventional motor/tranny into it and get it all to work. I assume you would need all the donors ECU, under hood wiring harness and possible fuel pump. Or is it made so different that doing that swap is not worth it.
Okay, if it's not worth swapping in a new drive train, how much of the car can be used for parts. Are the front end, fenders , hood and rear decks, seats, doors and door panels , bumpers , are they the same as on DXs, LXs and EXs. Thanks. These cars are not bid on by the public at the auctions and mostly got to salvage yard owners, that why the bid so cheap. I been letting them slid by but this one is SO clean it would be an awesome parts car if parts are swappable......
