Hello. I just has my two front struts replaced and my mechanic suggested I go to a shop for a wheel alignment which he can not perform himself.

I visited the shop he suggested and they quoted $150 cash for the alignment but they said if the steering wheel calibration is needed its an additional $95 and its done electronically. This was explained to me before he knew it was a 99 Accord.

I did some reading and it seems this can't be done on a 99 accord and at least not electronically so just wondering what I should say or ask if he suggests the extra service. Thank you.

99 Accord V6 with 175,000 miles

 

As far as I know, there is no such thing on a 99. It's not electronic steering.

 

thanks. they didn't bring the steering wheel alignment up.

they did say the rear camber is out of wack and cant be adjusted manually on the car. they said for $400 they would cut the camber bolts and place camber links but told me the camber is off by such a small amount he didn't think it was worth it and I rotate tires regularly enough. sounds good to me
