2004 Honda civic ex
Hi all. Two questions. I am in the middle of rebuilding the 5 speed manual transmission out of my 2004 Honda civic ex.
firstly does anyone know what the P/N is for the bearing that is on the back of the input shaft? Not the one on the input shaft nearest the clutch but the one on the input shaft that is on other end?
my intention was to just replace the front bearing because that is the one that always seems to fail but it appears that the rear one is also shot.
My other question is related to the two shims that sit between the front input shaft bearing and the shaft itself. Are there always two shims there or can it be more than that? Can it be less? Also is it possible for them to be on the other side of the input shaft on the back end?
thanks!
