99 Civic Si k24a4 Swap Help
Just a note before reading, This is my first time ever attempting a engine swap so literally anything will be helpful to me, thanks.
I own a 99 civic si that has a k24a4 with a APG6 transmission. I'm having trouble with the conversion harness to my PND Hondata ECU. I have no idea what wiring diagrams I need to look at in order to pair my carrot top tuning harness with the 99 civic si chassis wiring and engine harness. There just isn't a lot of information on k swaps into EM1 chassis so its very difficult trying to find information. I also tried doing this swap with the stock subframe which isn't really working out well with my header so I found a eg subframe with the bolts, along with LCA, an Integra/eg steering rack. Not sure if I need anything else as well to complete the subframe swap. The swap does have to wait since the bolts holding my trans to the motor mount stripped the threads out of the trans(no idea how it happened, the car was sitting). I wanted to ask if my k24a4 choice of motor with a 5 speed transmission is making this swap a lot harder. Its been hard to find any information on swaps with this motor in general. I'm hoping some of you Honda legends on here can help a young guy out. Any critiques are of help. If pictures are needed please ask.

Did you purchase a "Conversion Harness" for your '99-00 EK Chassis from Carrot Top Tuning ? You MUST have a chassis specific conversion harness to work with your engine harness.
Here's the one i picked up,
K20 K24 K-Swap Conversion ECU Harness for EK Civic 99-01
https://www.carrottoptuning.com/prod...hoCEjAQAvD_BwE
I didn't realize when reading the description of the harness that is says "This harness does NOT work with any 05-06 OR K24 engine wiring harnesses." But it says k24 in the listing name.

You MUST use a '02-04 RSX/EP3 style engine harness with the conversion harness that you have acquired. The only difference between a K20 and a K24 engine harness is the crank position sensor plug and the knock sensor plug... everything else fits about the same.
I did find out about needing to use the crank and knock sensor, here’s the harness I got.

In the description it says it’s for the 02-04 pinouts.

So, you are using the K20 Crank Position Sensor and a K20 Knock Sensor ? If not, how did you re-pin the K24 CKP plug ? The order of the three wires is totally different than the K20 plug (in fact, all three wires are in a different location between the two CKP plugs).
I was given both an engine and a conversion harness with the K24A4 and told they were plug and play. The harness was heavily used and cut up, but the car actually ran—though it ran extremely rich and wouldn’t rev past 3k rpm. Eventually, it refused to crank at all, so I bought new ones to try and fix the issues.
