Can't decide which one...
Hello all, new to the forum, but not so new to this scene. I previously had a '96 JDM ITR decades ago now and of course regret selling it, so here I am looking to get back into an ITR!
I am looking at a local one, '98 USDM, Championship White, I am located in Canada and this one is from the US, CT to be more exact. It has a salvage title, then rebuilt due to theft, so it's missing the VIN on engine. It has a B18C5 motor in there, but no idea how many miles etc. The body has 95k miles, body is in ok condition, no rust, some panels are off white though so it was repainted at some point. The seats are not original either, not sure what's in there.
The other option is to get into a '98 JDM ITR, with 180k kms (110k miles?), it's on its 3rd engine, previous were blown up from boost apparently, and this one seems to run fine, compression tested to 220-240 all across. No rust on body but has imperfections, scratches, dents, dings, etc. He's got proof that timing belt, water pump, clutch, and some other things were done recently. He said 5th gear is kinda loud but there is no gear popping at all.
Is one better than the other? Which one would you go for?
