1995 Civic Sunroof Issue
Hi, I own a 1995 Civic EJ2 Lsi civic.
My sunroof doesn't seem to work properly. When closed, and I attempted to open it, it opens very weak and its almost like the right side is moving faster on the rails than the left. This causes it to move very slowly. But when I open it with a bit of help by pushing the sunroof up with my hands while holding the slide button, it tilts evenly on each sides and slides back fast and how it should. But then once it reaches the fully opened mode and I keep the button held, and slides back almost further than it should, misaligning it again and causes it to move slow again. Also, no matter what when it closes, the right side falls in first and then the left side.
Any ideas why? I checked the factory manual but can't see anything on this issue. Im guessing there are multiple? One could be the stoppers aren't working anymore for the rear?

The best bet on this is to take out the entire sunroof and inspect the rails and assembly. Chances are the stopper has broken and the guide cables are out of alignment. This isn't a fun job, and I will warn you ahead of time...you may break a few more things along the way given the age of the plastics. Go slow, take picture before you disassemble.
