Default Honda civic 1989 sedan

I’ve got a 1.4L Civic running on dual carburetors. They’re working fine, but I’m curious about them. I don’t know much about dual-carb setups and would love to hear from people who do.
The car drives okay, but fuel economy feels… not amazing. Maybe burning more fuel than it should. I’m wondering:
– Are these carbs worth keeping as-is?
– Is there a good upgrade path?
– Or should I consider a different setup entirely?
For now, both carbs seem healthy, but I’ve never done a full rebuild or tune on them myself. If I keep them, is it worth investing in a pro tune or rebuild to get better MPG and smoother running?

Any Civic carb veterans here?
– What’s your experience with them?
– Any upgrade suggestions?
– Or should I keep them stock and just enjoy the nostalgia?
