Default Looking for 2008 CRV floor jack

Hello-
I have been looking without success for specs on the height of a 2008 CRV jack. It seems like 1.5Ton to 3Ton/ 18 inch reach is the minimum.
I am looking for a jack to lift one or both wheels at a time to do brakes. I will use the emergency scissor jack as a jack stand.
My questions are:

Can you safely jack under the suspension arms with a smaller jack?
Are there extensions or will a block of wood work to allow smaller jacks to reach the center jack point and lift both wheels? (I'm not sure if extensions are safe.)

Thanks

the internet says about 15"

check the logic: ground clearance is 7.3". jack points aren't far above that- say 8". suspension droop from nominal is 5-6" so around 15" to get the tire off the ground is plausible.

18-19" is the common height and should do the trick, or pick up a long reach like this one with 24.25" of max height.

safe for the vehicle: more or less. Safe for you and anyone else around: more no, than yes. suspension moves and not always when and in which direction you expect.

wood blocks- yes, but it depends. best not to add more than about 4 inches, should be a sturdy piece of wood, I usually keep a few off-cuts from a 4x4 pressure-treaded fence post handy for that purpose. grain should be horizontal especially on the pinch welds since those will tend to act like a log splitter if grain is vertical. a platform under the jack (cribbing) is another option, but again must be put together properly to be safe to use. a sandwich of plywood "bread" and 2x4 "meat" glued and screwed is my go to.

jack points:

Scissors jack? Wood blocks? You must have a death wish!
