2014 Honda Civic Dying From Dead Stop
Hello,
I've got a 2014 Civic EX-L that has recently had an intermittent issue with dying from a dead stop. I don't exactly know how to recreate the issue, but it seems only to happen when I'm at a dead stop at a stop sign or a red light and never when the vehicle is in motion.
Initially, I thought I had bad/clogged fuel injectors or bad spark plugs (can't remember when I replaced those last) because I was feeling a stuttering when accelerating. I have since used Techron to clean my injectors and have noticed a rather strong improvement in both the acceleration stuttering and in MPGs, but I've still come across the same dying issue.
I was hoping somebody here has had a similar experience (chances are high, I think) and could enlighten me on what they found before I pay a maintenance shop an arm and a leg to diagnose the issue.
For reference, the oil is still at 60% according to the system in the car and I only use full synthetic oil. I used Kendall oil, last, but this has happened since before my last oil change. The oil change shop mentioned that I am in need of new motor mounts, but I've never had to have those replaced on any of my cars before and am unsure exactly what they do, etc. Additionally, the transmission fluid/oil was changed ~20,000 miles ago. The dealer tried to push me to change all my air hoses last year when I went in for brakes, but I found it was on the basis of time rather than the hoses showing any age or distress, etc.
If you need more information, please let me know and I'd be happy to provide what I can.

It could be a multitude of things, dirty iacv, clogged pcv, bad sensor. Is there a check engine light? Go through those first if its relatable and then I'd start with the replacement of pcv.
Nothing pops up specifically. I've seen the battery light come up on some occasions, but not all the time. Usually all the lights come up similarly to when you put the car in accessory mode instead of starting the engine, but no warning lights come on the mini screen. I'll have the mechanic look at the suggestions you've outlined, here. Thank you!
